The Zimbabwe Indie Music is focused on showcasing the fantastic hidden music gems in the country. The blog will feature album and song reviews, song recommendations and an app for streaming music which will be unveiled later next year.

I am passionate about music especially indie because there is a lot of freedom that comes with it. There are a lot of things that an artist can do as opposed to the constraints that come with being signed. Indie artists make music that is innovative and interesting whereas mainstream is bland. I used to listen to an American band called Young the Giant before they were signed and their sound was unique. I had a difficult time listening to their new material as it did not represent the band I knew.  The thing with indie and the sub genres underneath it is that it is changing the music landscapes as we know it.
